Why we do this

It isn't just the almanac online; it's making almanac lookup easier.

ABOUT

Data is verifiable

Every field's basis is on the page for cross-checking — don't blindly trust any source, including ours.

Long-term maintenance

Continuously fixing issues and updating data. Uptime is public on the page — not a one-off project.

Honest limits

Pages state what traditional-calendar content can and can't do — no absolute claims, no fear-selling.

From grandpa's old almanac to a tool in your pocket

Fuyu Almanac is an independently developed, long-maintained personal project, running since 2024-08-08. It started to save me some page-flipping when checking the almanac, then lookup, conversion, date selection and charting grew into online tools. The principle never changed: direct entries, clear fields, verifiable results — so more people can understand the traditional calendar without almanac-flipping.

How the site came to be

Getting started

Bringing the almanac online

I grew up reading almanacs with my grandpa — every wedding or move checked lucky days first. Opening a 1993 almanac later, I found many younger people no longer use traditional ones — that sparked the idea to build a searchable tool.

Extend

Tool matrix takes shape

The site began in 2017 with just today's do/don't online; later the calendar and solar/lunar conversion came, then auspicious days, Bazi charts, name tools and feng-shui became online tools.

03 PRINCIPLES

Maintenance principles

Rather than pile content, we value understandability, verifiability and sustainability.

TRUST

Verify free first, then go deeper

Confirm basic dates, lunar and solar-term basis via the free entry; use topic tools only when needed.

For reference; not a substitute for professional judgment

Traditional-calendar and folk content is supplementary reference. For medical, legal, financial or marital matters, always combine professional advice.

Keep it verifiable, feedback-able, iterable

Pages spell out fields, entries and notes; when you spot a mismatch, report with date and steps.

Free queries stay free; membership just unlocks more

Basic queries stay free with no new limits after VIP. Membership mainly unlocks long-term selection, deep charting and multi-option comparison.

What's free?

Today's almanac, calendar, solar/lunar conversion and every note on this page — all free to use, long-term.

What does VIP solve?

For time-heavy cases — long-term selection, repeated charting, comparing name options. VIP unlocks no metaphysical promises; it just automates manual steps.

Why start free, then consider membership?

The free entry confirms date basis, page speed and result layout first; if it feels smooth, then consider deeper member topics.

Can results drive big decisions?

No. Content here is traditional-calendar and folk reference. For marriage, medical, contracts and other big matters, combine professional advice and real conditions.

Results differ from another almanac?

Different almanacs do differ on some fields. Cross-check sources; report clear mismatches with date, field and source — we verify one by one.

Paid but no membership yet?

Normally it activates automatically after payment. If delayed, keep the receipt and order number, contact via QQ or email; we handle after checking.

How do I report an issue?

Include the page, date, steps, actual and expected results. More detail, faster fix; replies usually within 24h.
